Our Strengthening Community Gardens initiative across America, Africa, and the Caribbean
Growing to Give is a game-changing non-profit that embodies the spirit of the Curt Bergfors Food Planet Prize. Our mission is to address food insecurity and water scarcity by providing sustainable farming and gardening systems for climate-vulnerable and low-income communities.
Our approach is multifaceted, encompassing many aspects of sustainable food systems. Through our Strengthening Community Gardens initiative across America, Africa, and the Caribbean, where we currently have collaborative partnerships with community organizations, we empower communities to grow their own nutritious food, improve access to fresh produce and foster food sovereignty. Our unique and innovative sustainable gardening system is the Tomato Volcano.
We also offer educational webinars on sustainable gardening practices, nutrition education, cooking, and food preservation. These resources provide individuals and communities with the knowledge and tools to overcome barriers and adopt environmentally friendly behaviors.

Growing To Give
Growing to Give is not just a nonprofit; it's a dynamic force dedicated to transforming the landscape of agriculture and community well-being. Our mission is clear – combating water scarcity and food insecurity by promoting sustainable agriculture in climate-vulnerable and low-income regions. Imagine resilient, thriving communities where hunger is a thing of the past. That's our vision, and we're turning it into reality.
With unwavering dedication, Growing to Give is steering towards a more sustainable and equitable food system. At the heart of our initiative are Tomato Volcanoes – a symbol of innovation, sustainability, and abundance. These aren't your typical tomato gardens. They're an ingenious, sustainable farming system made to withstand the test of time, crafted from marine-grade stainless steel. Paired with our cutting-edge Crop Circle Irrigators, they literally perform food miracles. Picture this – significantly boosted crop yields while conserving water and space. Plus, the magic touch – chemical-free, safe growing environments that ensure food safety.
In addition to our emphasis on Tomato Volcanoes, we've sown seeds of change with Crop Circle Market Gardens, Crop Circle Farms and Food Forests, Crop Circle Gardens. All systems utilize Crop Circle Irrigators for efficient water use and sustainable food production which are optimized to have the smallest carbon footprint. The Crop Circle Market Gardens, with their 40-foot by 40-foot spiral gardens, offer an impressive yield of fresh produce, contributing to food security, small-scale farmer revenues, gender equity and sustainability in the communities we serve. In fact, all our systems do this. The Crop Circle Farms and Food Forests are larger agricultural projects up to 100 acres within the initiative and can make a dramatic impact on communities with land and a local partner.
And we don't do this alone. Partnerships are key– with community farms, gardens, small-scale farmers, and even home gardeners participating in our Food Ambassador Program. We're like a matchmaker for agricultural efficiency. Thanks to the generosity of our funders, we tailor our remarkable agricultural systems to meet individual needs. It's not a one-size-fits-all approach; it's about empowering communities with the tools they need to thrive. One aspect of our initiative is the Food Ambassador Program. It’s not just about growing food; it's about growing communities. Low-income residents are given the power to cultivate fresh produce at home, not just for themselves, but for their entire neighborhood. We provide Tomato Volcanoes or smaller Crop Circle Garden units and video training on their use and maintenance. It's a recipe for community food resilience, and it's making a significant impact. In essence, Growing to Give is revolutionizing agriculture, creating resilient communities, and sowing the seeds of change. We're not just growing food; we're growing a brighter future for all.
